Volunteers, We Can't Do It Without You!

Riverton Mountain Biking team is a volunteer led organization and adult support is crucial for the team's success.  The team is built on generous parents/guardians and community members who love kids and mountain biking.

Become a Ride Leader

We need many adults that are willing to ride with the team during each practice (May - October).  Whether you are new to cycling or have recently retired from the racing circuit, we need you!  The team has a need for adult support at every level, from leading our varsity kids to sweeping riders who are completely new to cycling.  Every ride leader will receive training through the league (NICA) and must provide a background check before riding with the team.

Only registered athletes and certified ride leaders can ride with the team during practices. The team will pay for the cost of ride leader training and will provide shirts and other items based on the level of coaching commitment.  PLEASE contact the team if you are willing to help.

More information about becoming a ride leader can be found at https://www.utahmtb.org/coach-licensing1

Race volunteers

The Utah High School Cycling League requires that each parent/guardian of a racer volunteers during one of the races.  Details can be found https://www.utahmtb.org/volunteer.  Volunteer and sign-up information will be posted before each https://www.utahmtb.org/race.  Note: Riverton High is part of Region 3.

Team volunteers

If leading or sweeping a group of riders isn't your jam, NO PROBLEM!  There are plenty of other opportunities to help.  The team is very grateful for those who graciously share their time and talents from planning parties to setting up tents and tables at races.  Volunteers are the lifeblood of the team, and we can't do it without you!
